Our newest collection Belize Blooms was conceived initially out of a special collaboration with The Norton Simon Museum in Pasadena, CA. Drawing inspiration from the richly patterned backdrops Matisse used in his odalisque paintings and a beautiful floral textile in Belize, the pattern is a softened interpretation of the abundant flora of Belize.
“By mimicking the lines of the Belize textile in my ink paintings I was able to synthesize a balance between my personal style and the feeling evoked by this selection of Matisse’s work.”
Belize Blooms is offered in four colorways: aquamarine, jardin, lumier, and night fog which are available in repeating wallpaper murals, fabric by the yard, woven cotton jacquard, and luxurious silk & merino hand knotted rugs.
